What is Elemental Iron?
Elemental iron is the amount of actual iron in an iron supplement that your body can absorb and use. It’s the ‘active’ form of iron that supports various functions such as normal formation of red blood cells and haemoglobin, normal energy yielding metabolism, reduction of tiredness and fatigue and normal oxygen transport in the body.
Each serving (1 capsule) of Iron Complex provides 20mg of elemental iron.
How to Take Iron Complex
- Take one capsule of Iron Complex daily.
- Iron is best absorbed on an empty stomach (one hour before or two hours after meals) with a glass of water.
- Avoid taking Iron Complex with tea or coffee, as they may reduce absorption.
- Suitable for individuals over the age of 14.
