Pepcid Duo is a new improved version of Pepcid AC, which has been unavailable in the Irish market for a few months. It combines the benefits of Famotidine (a H2 receptor blocker) and antacids in one chewable tablet to treat the short term symptoms of heartburn, acid indigestion (dyspepsia) and excess acid.

Pepcid Duo starts to work fast and keeps working for up to 12 hours. The tablets are chewable, meaning they get to work a bit faster than a full tablet that you would swallow whole. Effects lasting up to 12 hours mean you can have control of your heartburn or indigestion symptoms all day or all night, after taking just one Pepcid Duo tablet.
Pepcid Duo Works In Two Ways
Pepcid traditionally contains Famotidine, which is a H2 receptor blocker and effectively reduces the amount of acid produced in your stomach. In Pepcid Duo, Famotidine has been combined with two antacids, Magnesium Hydroxide and Calcium Carbonate. The antacids neutralise excess acid already in your stomach.
The result is fast acting, long lasting relief form heartburn and indigestion.

Who Can Take Pepcid Duo?
Pepcid Duo is suitable for adults and children aged over 16 years old, for the short term treatment of heartburn and indigestion.
Can I Take Pepcid Duo During Pregnancy Or Breastfeeding?
Do not take Pepcid Duo if you are pregnant. If you are breastfeeding, ask your doctor for advice before taking Pepcid Duo. Your doctor will decide if you should discontinue breast breastfeeding or if you should not take this medicine.
