Directions:
Take 1 capsule daily with or without food, any time of day. Note: Fruit juices are generally acidic and acid can damage the 35624 culture. We recommend taking Alflorex® with water or milk or less acidic drinks e.g. soya, almond or rice milks. However, Alflorex® can be taken as part of a meal that has fruit juice, as the food will help protect the 35624® culture.

How quickly does Alflorex® work?
Alflorex® starts to work immediately and its specially chosen 35624™ strain reaches the gut within a few hours, priming it gently where needed. With daily consumption, the full benefits of Alflorex® can be experienced within four to eight weeks.
How many bacteria does each capsule of Alflorex® contain?
Each Alflorex® capsule is packed with approximately 1 billion bacteria, also known as 1 x 109 colony forming units (CFUs). Our scientifically studied and carefully selected bacteria count in each capsule ensures maximum efficacy. This potent dose remains effective for the entire shelf life of the product.
How long should I take Alflorex® for and what happens if I stop?
The 35624™ bacterial strain found in Alflorex® remains in the digestive system as long as the product is regularly consumed, and will eventually be eliminated through normal bowel movements.
Are there any side effects when taking Alflorex®?
There are no known side effects of taking Alflorex®. It is a food supplement containing bacteria belonging to a species that may be passed naturally from mother to baby at birth, and which may live naturally in the gut. The safety of the bacteria contained in Alflorex® has been confirmed by research studies in humans. During the first few weeks of taking Alflorex®, some people may experience mild and temporary changes in their gut.
Can I take the product with medicines? Can I take the product with antibiotics?
There are no known adverse interactions of Alflorex® with medicines. If you are prescribed antibiotics, it is best to take Alflorex® at a different time of day from the antibiotics because the bacteria in Alflorex® can be inactivated by antibiotics.

Does Alflorex® need to be refrigerated?
No, it just needs to be stored below 30’C. Alflorex® has been carefully formulated to be stable at room temperature, and does not need to be refrigerated. The special packaging for Alflorex® capsules means that they can travel with you and still keep their qualities.
