Helpful Product Information
Flixonase is not designed to work in exactly the same way as an immediate-relief nasal decongestant.
Although an effect has been observed in some people within 2–4 hours and most users obtain symptomatic relief within 12 hours, maximum benefit may require 3–4 days of regular treatment.
When using Flixonase to prevent symptoms from a known allergen, treatment should begin before exposure to the trigger where possible.
Regular daily use is recommended for full therapeutic benefit.
Trust & Pharmacist Advice
Correct nasal-spray technique can improve how well the medicine works and reduce unnecessary irritation.
Shake the bottle before use. Keep your head slightly forward, place the nozzle into one nostril and direct it slightly away from the centre wall of the nose rather than spraying directly towards the nasal septum.
Use the lowest dose needed to control your symptoms.
If your symptoms have not improved after 7 days, stop using Flixonase and speak to your doctor. If symptoms have improved but are still not adequately controlled after 7 days, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.
